‘All right children, its time for lunch’, said Mrs. Mathews, ‘make sure you eat well and not spend the entire time playing under the sun and fall sick’. ‘Yes teacher’, said the students in unison. They stuffed their books untidily inside their bags, took out their tiffin boxes and ran out of the class room just as Mrs. Matthews left. Horde of them assembled on the field in no time. The chilly January winds didn’t stop the children from playing. ‘Come on Rahul, we don’t have much time’, said Tarun trying to spin the football on his index finger. ‘The match is about to start. This time we’ll show them who the boss around here is’. Rahul was sitting on one end of the see-saw. ‘I don’t think I would be able to play. Taurn hi-fived him and went back to the field trying to figure out why he had never seen any tree house at Rahul’s place.
The match started and Tarun’s team scored a goal in the 4th minute of the game. There was a loud cheer from the teammates. Tarun sprinted to the see-saw to celebrate the goal with his best friend, while the rest of the team was still frolicking in excitement. But he was surprised to see that the place was deserted. He looked around but there was no sign of him anywhere close by. ‘Tarun! Kick off, fast!’, came a loud voice. Confused, he went back to the field and took his position.
