So;

Alexis Madison White went to school.

Her first day, 8th grade, a new place.

She lacked of confidence.

She was wearing her favourite jeans;

favourite top.

As she walked down the hall,

people stared.

They stared her down.

Lunchtime;

no one wanted her to sit with them.

He told her how his father died when he was 7,

& how his mother hasn't stopped drinking ever since that day--she had a problem.

Alexis listened carefully to his life story.

She even shed some tears.

He told her that,

every night when he goes home,

his mom doesn't talk.

She's always drunk and crying.

"I always go and sit with her in her chair. I tell her how much I love her. Then I go to my room, and I pray for her," Davey explained.

Alexis and Davey formed an amazing friendship.

"I love you David Brown; more then anything in the world," Alexis confessed.

"I..I love you too," hesitated Davey.

She leaned in,

and kissed him on the cheek.

His face went bright red,

and they hugged.

They were definitely in love.

About 2 years later,

Davey was diagnosed with leukemia,

and had to stay in the hospital.

Alexis went to see him everyday of the week,

and slept there on weekends.

It started to get really bad.

She only got to see him twice a week.

She prayed for him every single night.

Then,

one morning,

she woke up,

got ready,

and went to the hospital.

She went up to his room...

it was empty.

She began to panic.

She ran to find a nurse.

The nurse got Davey's doctor,

and she asked him,

choking on her tears,

"Where's my Davey??!"

The doctor began,

"uh..um.."

He could barely spit the words out.

"There's no better way to say this but..he's gone."

Alexis fell to the ground.

Weak knees.

Red, tear-filled face.

She screamed the still unanswered question,

"WHYYYYYYY??!!"

So when she went back to school,

she had 100% confidence.
